KD Lang into Music Hall of Fame

Canada had their own music awards, The Junos, this past Sunday.   I have to admit Canada is finally stepping up in the music world and are shipping out some really great music. During this years awards, they acknowledged a Canadian great KD Lang and she was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.  She has not only contributed to the music community but stayed true to herself as an open lesbian.  This was what she had to say:
I think the fact that I’m standing here receiving this award says more about Canada than it does about me. Only in Canada could there be such a freak as k.d. Lang receiving this award.

Megadeath's Dave Mustaine Against Gay Marriage Because He's Not Gay

So Megaloser Dave Mustaine recently went on Seattle Sounds for an interview where he uttered the following bullshit garbage:

Washington State, just this week, the governor signed gay marriage into law. Do you support gay marriage, or is that something you oppose?

Well, since I'm not gay, the answer to that would be no.

OK. What about for people who are gay?

Since I'm not gay, the answer to that would be no.

I have to assume, then, since he's not black, he's would have been against abolishing slavery. And since he's not a woman, he wouldn't have supported suffrage. And since he's not capable of human emotion and basic logic, he's likely in support of electing Rick Santorum. Oh wait - he is...

Ellen Creating Her Own Label

Ellen DeGeneres is starting her own record label, signing Greyson Michael Chance as her first artist. I usually cringe a little when I hear about someone without musical ability starting a record label (this means you, Tila), but I think Ellen is in the perfect position to do something like this. I can't help but wonder how this works with her American Idol duties, though. Is she allowed to nab the losing contestants if they're great?

Adam Lambert's New Album Cover

Adam Lambert is becoming the master of glam. He's bringing men's fashion to that ridiculous and wonderful place usually reserved for the women of his industry. And what a welcome change!

If Taylor Swift was a Gay Man...

A gay remake of a Tailor Swift video. I like the gay version way better.

More Fun Than the Oscars (Like Everything Else...)

I don't think I could care less about the Oscars. The fag hag in me is always a little excited to see the dresses, but there's just nothing else that can hold my attention. Consequently, I'm posting a video of Adam Lambert singing and dancing around in spandex and a rhinestone coated jock strap. 'Cause I'm gay like that.

Lady Gaga Duet With Elton John

Lady Gaga did an awesome duet with Sir Elton John at the Grammy Awards. I'm always happy when a queer is added to the mix! They sang "Speechless" and "Your Song" together and it was awesome. I mean just look at the two of them and their outfits! It's a perfect collaberation.

The Cliks Lucas Wins Hottie Title

Lucas Silveira is the openly trans lead singer of the Toronto based band The Cliks and was named sexiest Canadian man by Chart Attack. It's a Canadian music magazine and Lucas was up against rockers like Deryck Wibley from Sum 41, Avril Lavigne's ex if you haven't heard of him. I think this is fantastic and that Lucas is smoking!

E. John vs E. Coli

Sir Elton has had to postpone several concerts as he deals with a severe case of E. coli. After cancelling shows earlier in the month due to the flu, it was discovered that there were other nasty things lurking in his system.

Get well soon, Elton!

The Veronicas Want to Kiss a Girl Too.

The Veronicas released their video for Take Me on the Floor which includes some lesbian action. The beginning seems pretty hetero, but nearer to the end they include both men and women lyrically and otherwise. I'm not all that big into pop music, but it seems catchy enough, and if you don't like pop music either you can always watch it on mute.

Guess Who

Above is the audio for "Faith Won't Fail", a 2001 Christian pop song by Katy Hudson. Relevance? These days Katy Hudson is called Katy Perry and sings such songs as "I Kissed a Girl" and "Ur So Gay". Career change anyone?

I find it amusing that the lesbo stuff sells better than the Christian stuff. But I finally got around to listening to "Ur So Gay" and I'm a wee bit offended as hell. The tag line is "You're so gay and you don't even like boys". Based on the rest of the song she defines gay as fake, pretentious and pathetic. I suspect the next time I get around to going to the gay bar they'll play "I Kissed a Girl" a few times and I'll have to angrily wave my drink and try to be heard bitching over the music. I mean, the song is catchy, sure, but am I the only one who finds it a little offensive?

For the sake of comparison between the two Katys, here's her #1 song again. Meh.

New Lohan CD

Lindsay Lohan is set to release her third studio album on November 4th. The album, titled "Spirit in the Dark" includes the track "Playground" which will be released to radio in September. "Bossy" was apparently just to get the buzz going and no promotion or video will follow.

I'm glad "Bossy" won't be promoted. I just really didn't like it at all. Maybe there's some slight, vague possibility that "Playground" won't suck, but I must say, the album title and song titles released so far are not giving me hope.

Boy George Gives Back

Boy George has announced that he will be performing a free concert for his fellow "co-workers" at the Department of Sanitation's Family Day on Aug. 17. Boy George was made to sweep city streets for community service two years ago after pleading guilty to reporting a false burglary. George wants to give a little something back for the kindness he received whilst sweeping with the other cons:

The people I worked alongside showed great kindness to me at a very difficult time, and I wanted to thank them all in a way that would show my appreciation.

Isn't that sweet.

I Kissed a Girl Video

I Kissed A Girl

Not the adorable Jill Sobule one. This is the Katy Perry one. I'm not really a fan. The beat is ok, but the song to me is all about those annoying straight girls who make life difficult for bi girls everywhere.

And because this song will always make me think of the other one, here's the video for that. I like it much better.
