Mass Weddings at Grammys

Queen Latifah is set to officiate 34 weddings both gay and straight tonight at the Grammy Awards.  The ceremony will be during Macklemore & Lewis performance of Same Love along with Madonna and Mary Lambert.  For someone who doesn't want to talk about her sexuality, Queen Latifah sure is putting herself in the spotlight surrounding gay marriage.

Madonna Fined

Madonna spoke out on behalf of the gay community in St.Petersburg during her concert and did not impress city officials. She is facing a fine for going against the city's gay-propaganda ban. She told her fans to "show your love and appreciation to the gay community". She also gave out pink wristbands and wore a black bra that said "No Fear". Some gay supporters are pissed that she did not cancel the concert entirely out of protest but I think it takes more guts and makes more of an impact to go through with it.

Kelly Osbourne says she's fed up with straight men and wants to have a baby with her gay best friend. This comes after her embarrassing breakup with fiancé Luke Worrall, a model who cheated on her with both men and women. The most interesting affair being with transgender model Elle Schneider, who is way hotter than Kelly Osbourne could ever dream of being. I guess because she is now modelling for Madonna and her daughter Lourdes’s Material Girl, she needs to keep the attention coming.

Madonna Opens Gym

Madonna opened her first gym, Hard Candy Fitness, in Mexico City on Monday. The facility contains all kinds of pictures of the diva, but the emphasis is on exercise, not celebrity worship. Well at least that's what she is telling everyone but I'm fairly confident I wouldn't open a gym with pictures of myself everywhere. Madonna cut the ribbon to the gym and then taught a dance class for 20 selected members with music by DJ Paul Oakenfold. The gym is located in Mexico City’s upscale Bosques de las Lomas neighborhood. Membership costs $160 per month after paying a joining fee of $830. Madonna is planning on opening more gyms and hitting the United States. Unless she is there everyday working out with me, I'm never going to pay that much to be at any gym.

Madonna Codemns Malawi Decision

Madonna released a statement condemning the Malawi government for sentencing two gay men to 14 years of hard labour for having an engagement ceremony last year. Remember, Madonna has adopted two children from Malawi and I think it's a positive step to bring attention to this disgusting decision.

I am shocked and saddened by the decision made today by the Malawian court, which sentenced two innocent men to prison. As a matter of principle, I believe in equal rights for all people, no matter what their gender, race, colour, religion, or sexual orientation. Today, Malawi took a giant step backward. The world is filled with pain and suffering; therefore we must support our basic human right to love and be loved. I call upon the progressive men and women of Malawi - and all around the world - to challenge this decision in the name of human dignity and equal rights for all.

Madonna Gives Adam Advice

During Adam Lamberts appearance on the Oprah show, he recalled the advice Madonna gave him the previous year. She told him to keep his eyes on the prize and not get distracted by all the extra fuss. No kidding she's the one to ask, as she is the queen of scandal and Adam has gotten himself into deep water this past year. I love the fact he pushes the boundaries and doesn't seem to care that he's not a cookie cutter singer. I hope he makes out with more boys on stage and grabs his crotch twice as much, it's all about having fun and putting on a show!
