Dear Ones: 
Over the last year, Rayya Elias and I have been through some really difficult days together — but not today. Today was precious and perfect. A simple and spontaneous ceremony of love, surrounded by a handful of friends and family. 
Our ceremony was nothing legally binding (no need to alert the authorities, folks!)…just a quiet and private celebration of what we have long known to be true: We belong to each other. 
More difficult days are to come. It doesn’t get easier from here. Rayya’s illness is grave. But our love is strong. We will walk together as far as we can go together. After that, it all gets turned over to God. Create beauty with every day you are given,

The couple have been together for 20 years and finally tied the knot near Windsor Castle in England.  They have been in a civil union for 9 years but now gay marriage has been passed into law and they took full advantage.  Elton posted this picture on his instagram of the ceremony. Their two sons attended along with an elite list of celebrities. I'm so happy for them.

First Female NBA Ref Gets Married

Violet Palmer was the first female to ref a NBA game back in 1997.  She has continued since then doing both NBA and WNBA games.  She married her partner of 20 years Tanya Stine in LA this past Friday.  Violet says she never officially came out because she didn't want that overshadowing her career.  Such a beautiful couple.

Clint Eastwood Is Fine With Same Sex Marriage

Although Clint Eastwood has definitely thrown his support to the Republicans this election, he does not agree with the party on one very critical issue - same sex marriage. He is shown above on Ellen, saying that he takes the Libertarian position that the government needs to "Leave everybody alone." This is not the first time that Eastwood has asserted that marriage is between the people getting married. Back in 2011 Eastwood told GQ magazine "I don’t give a f**k about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?! We’re making a big deal out of things we shouldn’t be making a deal out of...Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want."

Rosie O'Donnell is engaged to her super hot partner Michelle Rounds. In a totally atypical style for lesbians, the two announced they had been dating for a few months in the end of September and are now planning to tie the knot in December. (I know, it's a shock to see lesbins move forward so quickly...) Rosie announced what will be her second marriage on The Rosie Show, saying that she would like to have the wedding over the holidays. No specific date has been released yet.

Toby Keith Speaks About Gay Marriage and DADT

When a country star like Toby Keith speaks on LGBT rights issues I cringe before I even hear it. But Keith has given me hope. His opinion on same sex marriage, while not exactly glowing, were still in the direction I want them to be - don't waste time and money fighting same sex marriage rights. And his opinions on DADT were far better still, saying that LGBT soldiers are every bit as entitled to their positions as their straight counterparts.

The country superstar tells "CMT Insider" airing Saturday on CMT that he doesn't see the reason behind getting into people's personal lives. He says refusing a marriage license to people because they are gay won't stop them from living together, so it accomplishes nothing.

Keith also weighed in on the military's now-repealed "don't ask, don't tell" policy that banned gays serving openly in uniform. He says that anyone with the training and passion should have the right to defend the country, adding: "Somebody's sexual preference is, like, who cares?"
