Kristy McNichol has decided to come out to help stop bullying kids based on their sexual orientation. She hasn't been in the spotlight for years because she was diagnosed with being bipolar and as a result she ended her television career. She is best known for her roles on the shows Family and Empty Nest. Honestly, I don't remember either shows but I'm just trying to pretend I'm too young. She has lived with her partner Martie Allen for the past two decades and wanted to come out because she was approaching 50 and thought it was time to be open about who she is.
