These two are nuts.  Earlier this month they announced they got back together and now they are back to their old habits.  This time Johnny apparently got upset that Victor wrote mean texts about him, so of course he attacked him.  Pictures of a bite on Victor's hand and a scratch have leaked on the internet.  Come on guys, you both get a time out.

Johnny Weir in Court for Biting Husband

Johnny Weir and his husband, Victor Voronov, had to appear in New Jersey court this week to ask a judge to dismiss the charge that Johnny bit his husband just before heading off to the Olympics. Victor says that Johnny bit him during a fight but wanted the charges dropped.  The two were apparently very lovey in court and the judge ended up granting the request.  Hopefully this teaches Johnny a lesson to avoid further embarrassment and because it's just not cool to hurt your spouse.

I'm a bit sad that Johnny Weir has decided not to register for the American national championships.  This means he will not be able to compete to go to Sochi, Russia for the Olympic games this coming February.   I totally understand why he would choose to boycott Russia but I think everyone will miss out on seeing an awesome athlete compete.

Johnny Weir not Afraid to be Gay in Russia

Johnny Weir is fabulous and flamboyant and I hope he never changes.  In recent interviews he has stated he is not afraid of being arrested in Russia during the Olympics.  He firmly opposes a boycott and says he would attend them anywhere.  I don't blame him in the slightest because athletes, both gay and straight, train for years.   They may only get one chance to compete among the elite and Russia politicians should not be able to strip them of this.  My concern is that I have this horrible feeling that gay athletes are going to be targets and someone is going to get hurt.  I commend them for all their hard work and bravery.

Johnny Weir wants to be more than Gay

Johnny Weir appeared on the Today show Monday, discussing his autobiography, Welcome to My World, and his recent announcement that he's gay. I'm not sure why this was considered a recent development but what do I know. He insists that he was never in the closet but he never wanted to make his sexual orientation the focal point of who he is.

I was born a white male, a white gay male, and I don’t celebrate being white or male, so why should I celebrate being gay? I know people who have been activists for years and have worked so hard and tirelessly, and they have definitely wanted me to be an activist. But I think the best way I can be an activist is to live my life, and not make that the main thing that is Johnny Weir. I’m much more than just a gay man.

Johnny Weir Wants to Dance.

Everbody's my favorite figure skater, Johnny Weir, is hoping to compete on the next Dancing With The Stars.

I hope [I’m going to do Dancing With the Stars]. I met Karina Smirnoff a few weeks ago and she was like, ‘Johnny, you are the perfect height for me. Let’s dance.’ So … it’s on. I’ve chosen my partner, I’m ready.

It seems like cheating to have someone who dances on ice for a living in the competition. I mean, I can hardly stay upright on skates, so if he can do the crazy shit he does there, imagine how good he'll be on solid ground. But they've had skaters before, and at least this skater will bring a little fabulousness to the whole competition. So, whoever picks the contestants, get going and pick Johnny. I can't wait to see his costumes.

Weir Not Family Friendly

Johnny Weir is being excluded from the Stars on Ice tour because he's not 'family friendly'. I want to know what the hell that means. God forbid anyone be creative and flamboyunt, it would be a much better world if everyone were traditional bigots. I think it's disgusting that a three time US figure skating champion is excluded based on the fact that he's too outrageous. On a side bar I included this picture because he looks fantastic.

Johnny Weir Addresses Canadian Comments

Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir called a press conference last week to address a Canadian broadcasters homophobic remarks about him. The French sportscaster said that Weir should have had to pass a gender test and called his feminine style a bad example that could make all boys end up like him. Quite frankly, if "ending up" like him means becoming an elite athlete I think we should be looking up to him as our role model.
