Lesbian Novel Turned into Movie

Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett will star as lovers in the new movie adaptation of The Price of Salt.  It was originally published in 1952 by Patricia Highsmith, who wrote under the pseudonym Claire Morgan.  The book became famous because of it's lesbian content during an age of living in the closet.  Originally, Rooney's role was to be played by Mia Wasikowska.  Either way I'm sure it will be very enjoyable to watch.

The Kids Are All Right Becoming HBO Show

HBO is in the works of creating a television series based on the Oscar nominated movie, The Kids Are All Right. I have mixed feelings about the movie but it was very well done. They haven't released if the same actors will star in the new show. The original cast includes lesbian couple Julianne Moore and Annette Bening, their children Mia Wasikowska and Josh Hutcherson and the sperm daddy Mark Ruffalo. I think this has the potential to be a great show but I'm fairly certain I will be yelling at the television when the story line turns the way I don't want it to go.
