Chris Hyndman Dies Age 49

This is such sad news.  Design guru Chris Hyndman has passed away suddenly at the age of 49.  I can't imagine how his partner of 25 years Steven Sabados is coping with all this.  They had so many great shows together with the most recent being Steven and Chris.  Their chemistry on screen was amazing and could make anyone smile.

RIP Joan Rivers

The iconic Joan Rivers has passed away at the age of 81.   Even if you didn't like her, she was a trail blazer for female comedians and her career was over five decades long.  Her daughter Melissa Rivers released this statement:
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother, Joan Rivers. She passed peacefully at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother. Cooper and I have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received from around the world. They have been heard and appreciated. My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon.

RIP Robin Williams

I'm sure by now you have already heard that the incredible Robin Williams passed away at the age of 63.  Sadly, they are saying it is most likely a suicide due to asphyxiation.  Williams was always a supporter of the LGBT community and played in many queer roles, including the hugely popular movies The Birdcage and Mrs. Doubtfire.  May he rest in peace.

Updates

So Prairiegrrl is away at the Olympics undoubtedly checking out all the hot, athletic bodies while I waste away at my demanding job. Which is my way of saying I suck for not posting and trying to divert blame. So here's what you missed the last while:
Sarah Silverman did an awesome interview where supporting same sex marriage. Watch the video (above). Very cool.

Casey Johnson died of a different ype of irresponsibility that we all suspected. It was uncontrolled diabetes, not an OD that ended her life so early.

It's been rumored that Sam Ronson has been smacking Lindsay Lohan around. I never support violence, but if you need to beat a Lohan, I'd suggest Michael instead. Much more satisfying.

Adam Lambert is Billboard's Sexiest Man in music.

Thomas Beatie, the trans man who has had a couple kids with his wife, is pregnant for the third time.

Lindsay Lohan is a hoarder and getting televised help for her mess.

Alexander McQueen commited suicide at age 40.

More to follow.

Tila Not Invited to Casey's Funeral

Casey Johnson was buried in New Jersey with a private, open casket ceremony for family and friends. Her "fiancee," however, was not present. Tila, of course, blames her family for not taking their relationship seriously. And just as unsurprisingly, she is continuing to say weird things and act generally insane on her Twitter, where she updates approximately every 30 seconds.

Some other queer people have to get into the spotlight, fast. I'm really sick of writing about Tila Tequila. But I figure in a week or so, she'll have a new lover and be claiming that it's what Casey wanted. In the mean time, I'm going to be spending my time wishing that someone like Sean Connery comes out of the closet in a mini skirt and grabs the attention away fr a while.
