Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Rocks Suit With Family

This is parenting at it's finest.  Half the Jolie-Pitt family went to the opening of Angelina's movie Unbroken and they all were dressed to impress.  Especially Shiloh who has always been an original and she looks amazing in her suit.  I'm so glad she wasn't forced to conform to stupid societal norms.  This is so much better.

Brad Pitt Supports Gay Marriage

I have to admit, I've always had a soft spot for Brad PItt and now he has only made me like him more.  He's upset with the fact that Americans are voting on human rights and has offered to match campaign dollars to show his support.  This is an awesome gesture.

It’s unbelievable to me that people’s lives and relationships are literally being voted on in a matter of days. In Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington, voters will go to the polls to decide if gay and lesbian couples – our friends and neighbors – are worthy of the same protections as everyone else. But that’s the system we have and I’m not going to back down from the fight for loving and committed couples to have the ability to marry. Especially when groups like the Human Rights Campaign are fighting these battles day-in and day-out. So, here’s what I’m going to do. If you make a contribution to these ballot measure campaigns in the next 24 hours, I’ll double it – every dollar of the way, up to $100,000.

Brad Pitt's Mom Homophobic

Turns out that Brad Pitt's mom Jane Pitt is not nearly as awesome as her son. She wrote a letter trying to urge Christians to vote for Mitt Romney despite the fact that he is Mormon. She makes the case that Mormon followers have the same views as those of the Christian faith on issues like homosexuality and abortion. Apparently she believes they hate equally. Boo to you Mama Pitt.

Brad & Angelina Break Promise

I was so happy when I heard that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made a promise that they wouldn't get married until everyone could. Well, I guess gay marriage has just taken too long for their liking and Angelina is now sporting a huge engagement rock on her finger. Brad Pitt designed it, blah, blah, blah. I'm still disappointed no matter how pretty it is.

Brad Pitt Loves Us

Brad Pitt donated $100 000 to fight against Proposition 8 that would see the banning of same sex marriage in California and Massachusetts where it's currently all legal and lovely. Brad said:

Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8.

He also expressed surprise that others in the entertainment industry aren't doing more. Though I can't say that I'm surprised. When you're repopulating the planet with Angelina Jolie, no one will assume that you're donating money because you're secretly gay. No matter how much we wish it was true. And oh, do I wish it. Both of them. Gayer than gay. It would be like Christmas only way hotter.
