Ellen Fights for Equality in Australia
Ellen posted this beautiful tribute to her wife. I look at my own wife and can't imagine anyone telling me that our love is lesser than a straight couple. I could not love anyone more. C'mon Australia, do the right thing.

Ireland Approves of Gay Marriage
Ireland held a referendum to vote on gay marriage. They reported an insanely good turnout and the people of Ireland have spoken. The vast majority voted in favour of the change and this melts my hearth. If this change goes through as planned it will be the first country to change the law through popular vote. Hell to the yeah.

Scott Eastwood Sexy Supporter
Clint Eastwood's son Scott is 29 years old and incredibly good looking. What makes him even more attractive is the fact that he is a supporter of the gay community. He follows in his father's footsteps and says:
I don't discriminate against any fans. Fans are fans, and gay men are great. I support gay marriage and the whole bit. I think everybody should be able to be with who they want to be with.

Lena Dunham Won't Marry Until Everyone Can
Lena Dunham is the mastermind behind the HBO show Girls and has made quite a name for herself in the past couple years. Being such an influential celebrity figure I love that her partner Jack Antonoff and her she are standing up for marriage equality in the USA:
The idea of having a celebration that can’t be fully shared among all the people in my life and all the people that we love just doesn’t really feel like a celebration at all. So until that’s something that everyone can join into with no sense of being left out on any level, politically, emotionally — it’s just not something that we’re gonna do

Lance & Michael's Live Wedding Complete
Lance Bass married Michael Turchin on the E! Network this past week and it looks like they had an amazing time. They are the first same sex couple to ever marry on live cable TV. Afterwards, the two flew to Fort Lauderdale to officiate a mass wedding for 100 couples, both gay and straight. They did it to celebrate the legalization of same-sex marriage in Florida. Congratulations to everyone!

Sam Smith - Lay Me Down
Dear All, Here is the Link to the Lay Me Down music video. This song holds a very dear place in my heart. With this video myself and Ryan Hope the director have decided to make a statement and showcase something we passionately believe in. This video shows my dreams that one day gay men and women and transgendered men and women all over the world, like all our straight families and friends, will be able to get married under any roof, in any city, in any town, in any village, in any country. I hope you enjoy it. I love you all.

Michelle Bachman Thinks Gay Marriage Non Issue
Michelle Bachman is a congresswoman from Minnesota and was a staunch supporter against gay marriage. She tried to get it banned in the state's constitution but lost the vote and ultimately lost the battle and equality was granted in 2013. It seems she feels defeated because when questioned about her position now on gay marriage she says it is not an issue and just plain boring. She's upset the some uber conservative organizations like the American Family Association with her comments but I'm glad she realizes it's losing battle and has moved on.

I love Dolly
Dolly has always been a supporter of equality and quite frankly she is just hilarious. Her latest quote about gay marriage:
I think everyone should be with who they love. don’t want to be controversial or stir up a bunch of trouble but people are going to love who they are going to love. I think gay couples should be allowed to marry. They should suffer just like us heterosexuals.

Pharrell Williams Discusses Equality on Ellen
Pharrell Williams song 'Happy' has taken over the music charts and is seriously over played. I hate when that happens to awesome songs because the message is incredible. Pharrell was recently on Ellen's show and at the end of the interview discusses women's inequality as well as marriage inequality. When he says "it is 2014, how can we tell people who they can and cannot marry", that really hits home.

Uk First Gay Marriage
History has been made in the United Kingdom, two men were married in London. At midnight the same-sex laws came into action. The mayor even spoke at the wedding and gave this awesome speech:
Camden has a long and proud history in campaigning on human rights – with Ghandi studying here and the International Anti-Apartheid movement basing itself locally for decades. This history is what makes Camden one of the most culturally diverse and socially cohesive parts of London. On reflection, it is astonishing to see how far LGBT rights have moved in this country. Just 47 years ago – homosexual relationships in the UK could end in imprisonment, or result in a life of psychiatric care. This was a reality – with important historic figures like Alan Turing taking their lives rather than live in fear of persecution. Since then we have slowly but surely seen a change in laws and attitudes around LGBT rights. We’ve had some major hurdles, such as Section 28, and some victories like the adoption of civil partnerships. We’ve seen more people openly come out – from politicians, Olympic athletes, authors and actors, all declaring their sexuality proudly. Tonight is another huge step in civil rights for our country and also an acknowledgement that love conquers all. But tonight cannot be seen as the final step. We cannot leave here tonight and think that our job is done. The situation in many countries is gravely serious. So tonight we celebrate not only the love of a couple and a historic milestone in England & Wales – but I hope that through Sean and Sinclair tonight, and the many other loving couples who will no doubt be following in their footsteps well into the future, that Camden and other parts of the UK will act as a beacon of hope, so that we can all live in a more tolerant and loving world. To quote John Lennon and Paul McCartney….”Love is all you need."
