For it's 8th issue, Candy Magazine did a piece on 14 famous trans women.  2014 has been a huge year for trans rights and this is a perfect way to cap it off.  These women are so incredibly gorgeous and strong and fabulous role models to have in mainstream media.

Laverne Cox On Katie Couric

Laverne Cox is so well spoken and her take on trans issues are important for people to hear.  It's unfortunate that there is so much discrimination and ignorance surrounding the trans community.  You can tell poor Carman Carrera was uncomfortable with Katie's questions and I don't blame her in the slightest.  Laverne handled them so well and I hope she got through to a lot of people.  I couldn't find the video so just click on the link below.

Trans Model Wants to be an Angel

There is  petition going around to make Carmen Carrera a Victoria's Secret Angel next year.  I think that would be a huge move for the lingerie industry but I don't know what the chances are that it will happen.  Carmen first appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race and last year identified as a woman. God, she's gorgeous.
