American Lisbeth Salander Disappointing

The American version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was well done but it just wasn't as good as the Swedish version. Rooney Mara did her best and is a great actress but she pales in comparison to Noomi Rapace. I found she just couldn't nail the punk and queer aspect of Lisbeth Salander in the same way. Don't get me wrong, they followed the book and it was enjoyable to watch, it just fell short.

Bisexual Girl With Dragon Tattoo

They made a movie about the book, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and it will be coming out in the US March 19th. Funny enough, I just finished reading this book and it's not bad. Noomi Repace will be playing the lead character Lisbeth Salander, the bisexual who helps solve a murder case from the 1960's. It's too bad that her love interest Miriam Woo plays such a small part but apparently they are including her in the movie. The second book, "The Girl Who Plays With Fire" explores her female relationship more. Either way, I better get a steamy lesbian sex scene out of this.
