The American version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was well done but it just wasn't as good as the Swedish version. Rooney Mara did her best and is a great actress but she pales in comparison to Noomi Rapace. I found she just couldn't nail the punk and queer aspect of Lisbeth Salander in the same way. Don't get me wrong, they followed the book and it was enjoyable to watch, it just fell short.

American Lisbeth Salander Disappointing
The American version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was well done but it just wasn't as good as the Swedish version. Rooney Mara did her best and is a great actress but she pales in comparison to Noomi Rapace. I found she just couldn't nail the punk and queer aspect of Lisbeth Salander in the same way. Don't get me wrong, they followed the book and it was enjoyable to watch, it just fell short.
