Johnny Weir is fabulous and flamboyant and I hope he never changes. In recent interviews he has stated he is not afraid of being arrested in Russia during the Olympics. He firmly opposes a boycott and says he would attend them anywhere. I don't blame him in the slightest because athletes, both gay and straight, train for years. They may only get one chance to compete among the elite and Russia politicians should not be able to strip them of this. My concern is that I have this horrible feeling that gay athletes are going to be targets and someone is going to get hurt. I commend them for all their hard work and bravery.
