Guess Who

Above is the audio for "Faith Won't Fail", a 2001 Christian pop song by Katy Hudson. Relevance? These days Katy Hudson is called Katy Perry and sings such songs as "I Kissed a Girl" and "Ur So Gay". Career change anyone?

I find it amusing that the lesbo stuff sells better than the Christian stuff. But I finally got around to listening to "Ur So Gay" and I'm a wee bit offended as hell. The tag line is "You're so gay and you don't even like boys". Based on the rest of the song she defines gay as fake, pretentious and pathetic. I suspect the next time I get around to going to the gay bar they'll play "I Kissed a Girl" a few times and I'll have to angrily wave my drink and try to be heard bitching over the music. I mean, the song is catchy, sure, but am I the only one who finds it a little offensive?

For the sake of comparison between the two Katys, here's her #1 song again. Meh.

Amanda, The ur so gay song is a break up song. It's basically a FU song to Pete Wentz, the bass player from Fall Out Boy. An emo boy who wears more makeup than most women and paints so tight that its shocking he still has swimmers.
