In the fourth episode of Spartacus, the gladiator character Barca has a relationship with his male slave. Too often, shows from this period choose to omit that same sex relationships were an integral part of society. From what I've read it looks like it's a pretty steamy scene for American television and it's about time. They didn't give a shit about it in the past and it should be the same today. Craig Parker, the pretty man seen above, doesn't play the gay gladiator in the series but is gay in real life. In Spartacus he plays a Roman general Claudius Glaber, who causes tons of problems for the hero. It's great to see gay men and roles surfacing more and more!
