At the Daytime Emmy's, (where Ellen won!) Portia showed off her new diamond engagement ring. (For those who care about jewelery, it's a Neil Lane marquis cut diamond set with pink diamonds.) The couple confirmed that they've set the date and that part of the wedding will air on Ellen's talk show, but has kept quiet about most of the other details. Ellen's comments:
"I can't wait to be married. I feel like it is long overdue," she said. "And I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous like we all don't have the same rights."
I absolutely can't wait for this wedding. I've never, ever cared about a celebrity wedding before, but in this case I want to know everything!
