If you're thinking of a trip to Jamaica, maybe you should reconsider.
A recent survey found that 70 percent of Jamaicans do not believe gays and lesbians should have any civil rights. Women seem to be much more tolerant than men, with thirty-four percent of women saying that they would support pro-gay legislation, while only 20 percent of men would. Jamaican gays, supported by international human rights groups, have been calling for repeal of the sodomy law which carries a sentence of 10-years in prison on conviction.
So, really, people, spend your vacation dollars elsewhere.
