Michael Sam is a first round draft pick for the NFL and he has decided to come out. When he gets drafted in May that will make him the first openly gay professional football player. Hopefully his coming out doesn't affect how he is drafted but sadly we can't rule that out. This was a bold step for Michael and I'm hoping others follow in his footsteps.
