This is one of the saddest rulings I have heard against gay rights in a long time. I know Russia is not known for it's forward thinking but despite pleas from the international Olympic committee, the country says it cannot put its gay propaganda ban on hold. This law makes it illegal to be gay and athletes and coaches actually face arrest and deportation. This goes against the core values of what the Olympics stand for. I'm curious to see how this plays out.
