Elton John and Johann Hari published a powerful article in the Huffington Post descibing a need for global action for the rights of LGBT people. The article sites hateful laws around the world, including such horrifying information as the number of places where simply being queer is legally punishable by death (7 if you're counting) and other atrocities against human beings.
