An Italian car ad has been banned from at least one network because it was deemed too offensive to lesbians. The ad for the Renault car company shows two women at a party. They flirt with each other from across the room, and then duck into a bedroom, but when it seems like things are about to turn sexual, one woman plays a trick on the other, running off with her shirt and driving off in the car. I'm not sure how I feel about this ad and if it should have been banned...

Banned Lesbian Renault Car Ad
An Italian car ad has been banned from at least one network because it was deemed too offensive to lesbians. The ad for the Renault car company shows two women at a party. its just a variation on the old 'sex sells' meme ... I don't understand why it was banned though, there's a whole lot of worse ads out there... perhaps it was the 'lesbian sex sells' meme that got someone's knickers in a knot!
