Wearing Purple to Battle Homophobia

Yesterday, October 20th, large groups of people wore purple in honor of gays who face homophobia in their homes and at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what all gays have with them: spirit. Please know that it gets better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. The recent suicides in the media are not the only people suffering from homophobia; please support all the gays in the world. No one deserves to be pushed to one side, ignored and neglected, just because of the way they live their life. No one should have restrictions on who they love, nor should they be judged and ridiculed for it. Thank you to everyone who showed their support by wearing purple!
