Jennifer Knapp coming out as a lesbian is kind of a big deal. I'm not a part of the Christian music community, so at first I really didn't care. I looked further into this little revelation and learned that this is the biggest move a queer has made thus far. Knapp seems to have really come to terms with her faith and her sexuality. At first she said she thought she had to choose one over the other but realized that's not the only option. I hope the Christian community accepts her with open arms but I wasn't born yesterday.
