Openly gay singer Nhojj made history twice in the past year. First as the only black male ever to win an OUTMusic Award for his song “Love,” and then hitting the number one spot on MTV’s music video chart. The “Love” video is a narrative and it has two young black men embracing in a bed, pretty hot stuff. Born in Guyana and raised in Trinidad, Nhojj was brought up in an extremely religious Caribbean family that still struggles to fully accept that he's gay. I think it's awful that families anywhere would have problems but sadly the world stinks sometimes.
