Above is Tom Ford's trailer for his new film A Single Man, starring Colin Firth. Below is the Weinstein Company's version of the trailer. They are mostly the same, with one "minor" difference. Where Tom Ford included references to homosexuality, the Weinstein Company instead just included critic reviews.
I don't get it. Don't they think people are going to figure it out once they get to the theater? Why block the gay? And how did they talk Tom Ford into agreeing to this version of his trailer?
