Rosie O'Donnell will return to television to host a variety show for NBC. The show will be live with prizes given to the home audience, also live. The show will run the night before Thanksgiving and if it's a success might turn into a regular thing. It's scheduled to air before Fox's variety show staring the Osbournes in November to snag viewers.
I don't watch much TV, but what's the difference between this and her talk show? They promise comedy skits, prize give aways, celebrity appearances and musical guests. Sounds like her old show from what I remember of it. Maybe the difference is that this time she'll be forced to dress and speak like a person who is slightly less crass and obnoxious. Or maybe people like her because she's crass an obnoxious? I've never been sure how the American viewing audience works...
