"In a ploy to have me served, and mistakenly believing that by serving me I would have to dismiss my Petition, [Tammy Lynn Michaels] used our children as pawns," Etheridge states in a declaration released Thursday in which she describes how she was presented with her ex's petition for sole custody of their 3-year-old twins.
The Grammy and Oscar winner says Michaels told her the kids were going to meet Etheridge at her hotel. "Finally, I received a text message...stating, 'My plans changed, sorry,'" the singer recounts.
I'm starting to look forward to Tammy's responses to the whole situation. Her demands seem huge to someone like me, though that's my typical response to the child/spousal support payments of celebrities. She says she needs $1500 per month for groceries, which is more than I spend in a year, plus $800 for eating out which I can't begin to imagine. She also needs $50 a month for cleaning and laundry, which, considering that she has a couple toddlers, seems entirely reasonable. But the most excessive part would be her $5000 a month clothing allowance. Aren't they lesbians? How much do flannel and a pair of Birkenstocks cost these days?
