Sarah Paulson Wins Emmy

Sarah Paulson looked gorgeous at the Emmy's.  This dress stole the show in my eyes.  She won her first Emmy for her role as Marcia Clark in The People VS OJ Simpson.  My favorite part of her speech was when she proclaimed her love for Holland Taylor.

Emmy Awards Tonight!

I love watching the Emmy's because some people make awesome fashion decisions and others make epic fails.  Either way it's incredibly enjoyable to watch. This year Andy Samberg will host the 67th Emmy Awards tonight at the Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson Interview

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is hilarious and I'm happy Modern Family is doing so well because it is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time.  Jesse talks to Ryan Seacrest before the Emmys about his receent wedding to Justin Mikita, getting ready for the awards and how gay his lace jacket is.

Jane Lynch Is Not Just a Lesbian

In a conference call with press, Jane Lynch explained that she won't be involved in any gay themed humor when she hosts the Emmys in September, saying

I'm a person, not just a gay person. So I don't focus on gay things like that. I just focus on good jokes and being funny. I've thought of every aspect of it, I'm very much collaborating with everybody.

While I do love some gay themed humour that's not at the expense of gay people, I have to admit that I appreciate the angle she's coming from here. She's a lesbian on an extremely gay show. It's good that she knows and wants other people to know that being gay is on;y a little bit of a whole person. But I really like Jane Lynch, so if she decided the world needed more gay and made nothing but gay jokes the whole time, I'd probably be defending that, too. But, hey, at least I can admit my bias...

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka are Cute

Neil Patrick Harris and partner David Burtka at the Emmys on Friday or whenever the Emmys were. I didn't watch them. Along with the rest of the world judging by the stats. But these two look freaking adorable, don't they? If I was a man I'd be all over them both. NPH was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, by the way.

Cynthia Nixon Gets Another Award

Cynthia Nixon won an Emmy for Outstanding guest Actress in a Drama Series. She played Janis Donovan in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She already has another Emmy from 2004 as well as a Tony for Best Actress in a Play. And she still looks pretty damned good, judging by this one picture I could find of her at the Emmys.

I read a little while ago that Law & Order: SVU was extremely popular with lesbians. I don't really watch much TV (outside of ANTM that I've avoided blogging about because it makes me angry...) but I'll admit to having watched that show a few times. It' cheesy and poorly acted. What's the appeal to lesbians?
