LGBT Rocked the SAG Awards

The LGBT community was well represented with some beautifully dressed people.  Sarah Paulson, Jim Parsons and Laverne Cox looked amazing at the SAG awards.  Lori Petty took a big risk but I'm not sure she's making any best dressed lists but I commend her for taking a long shot.

Orange Is The New Black Announces Season 2 Premiere

I am so excited for season 2 to start and it makes me very happy that they have finally announced when it will air.  Laura Prepon is on as Alex for at least 4 episodes and Lori Petty joins the cast.  It's going to be good!

Lori Petty Gets a DUI

Lori Petty was arrested and charged with a DUI Saturday night after hitting a skateboarder with her car. TMZ reports that her bail was set at $100 000. And they have a video of her leaving court, though it's not exactly heartwarming.

I count this as news because Petty was one of the few actors out there who was always willing to play a lesbian role even before it was cool to pretend to be bisexual, and I've always appreciated her for that. I don't appreciate the drunk driving (hire a cab, people!) but hopefully this is the one and only time and we won't have a Lohan-like repetition going on.
