Cindy McCain and her daughter Meghan McCain have joined the NOH8 campaign by posing for some new ads. I wonder when John McCain's ad will be released?

Meghan McCain is Pro-Gay and Wants Republicans to Follow (and so do I!)

Whatever you likely think of her father, you have to give Meghan McCain credit for this article she wrote for The Daily Beast. I want to put my favorite bits in quotes, here, but it's a short article, so you really ought to just read the whole thing. (Click here. Now.) For those too lazy but still mildly interested, she's in favor of same sex marriage and believes that the Republican party should change its stance, even going so far as to point out Reagan's role in reversing anti-gay legislation in California. Still not biting? Fine. Some people don't like politics.

I don't remember the last time a Republican's writing made me so hopeful for our future. Maybe people like Meghan can help bring the Republicans to what they stay they stand for. Or at least make them shut up about horrors like Prop 8.
