Claire Buffie was crowned Miss New York this past June and is the first Miss America contestant to compete on a gay rights platform. Apparently, she is a trained dancer and an Apple employee. She says she knows her profile may seem unusual for a pageant contestant, and that’s exactly why she believes she can win this January's competition. I hope she blows them all out of the water!
