ABC Paying For Weddings

This is an adorable thing for ABC to do.  They are offering to pay for New York City couples marriage licences to promote the season finale of Modern Family.  They will be covering the costs on the day the last show is aired.  It is incredible that the writers have included such an amazing story line to begin with and even though this is just a publicity stunt, it's still really cool.

Ryan Murphy Critizises Modern Family

Glee creator Ryan Murphy is a little critical of the show Modern family. He is upset that the gay male couple never share a kiss on the show. I don't really blame him but this is coming from the guy who made some pretty wacked episodes on Nip/Tuck. He doesn't mention the show by name but we get the point.

I hate it on TV shows, and there’s one show that I won’t name right now, where it’s like ‘Why aren’t these character kissing? Don’t they have a child?’ That’s ridiculous to me. I don’t understand it. If I did it on my show, I would just have them do it in every scene and not have a big deal about it. I don’t think that you have to announce a very special episode. Weren’t they doing it back on Roseanne? It is just so outdated and archaic to me and as a gay man, I would never do that. I would make it very organic and do it several times and
not make it a stunt.
