Ricky Martin came out back in 2010 and it really wasn't that big of a surprise but it was a huge move for the singer.  He just gave an interview with GQ magazine and he admits he used to bully people he knew were gay.  Sadly, this isn't uncommon but at least he is acknowledging it.

Wing nut Puerto Rican pastor Wanda Rolón is telling people to avoid Ricky Martin concerts, warning that the singer would drag us all to hell. She's been attacking him on Facebook and now has been given a press conference. She organized a anti-homosexuality protest in Choliseo to try and convince Ricky Martin's fans arriving for a concert to save themselves. According to Wanda Rolón and her ignorant followers, the whole island will join Satan in the afterlife, since four shows were completely sold out. Way to go Ricky! The best part is he didn't respond directly to the pastor but during his concert he said, Don't be afraid to live, Puerto Rico. Hell ya.

He made this statement after a CBS special, A Home for the Holidays. The show raised funds and awareness for foster care and adoption.

Ricky Came Out for Children

Ricky Martin revealed to the world last March that he was gay. This past Tuesday on Oprah, he discussed all about his experience revealing his sexuality to the world. He spoke about how he sent an e-mail out saying that he was proud to say that he was a fortunate homosexual man, after which he felt numb and then finally relieved. This quote is on his coming out experience:

When I realized, okay, I just pressed send, whoo … I was alone. I was in my studio alone for a minute. My assistant walked in and I just started crying like a little baby. I started crying. I couldn't take it anymore. It was too painful. But I guess the most important thing is my children … When I was holding them in my arms I was like, 'What, am I gonna teach them how to lie?' Whoa, that is my blessing right there. Then, when I was holding my children I said, 'Okay, it's time to tell the world.'

Ricky Martin Cast in Evita

Ricky Martin has gotten the role of Che in an upcoming Broadway production of Evita. Ricky has previously appeared on the big stage as Marius in Les Miserables. The 2012 Evita production will also star Elena Roger in the role of the Argentinian first lady (I'm not really sure who that actress is) and the character of Juan Peron has not been cast. I'm sure some idiot will make the comment that Ricky is too gay to play the role but sadly we can't control who reproduces.

Ricky Martin Naked & Covered in Tattoos

In Ricky Martin's new video he is naked and covered in digital tattoos. The video is suppose to be representing his rebirth after coming out as gay and to promote his upcoming tour. The tattoos spread across his body in the video and spell out words in Spanish for things like 'find yourself', 'forgive' and 'change your life.' It's a wee bit cheesy but Ricky has kept himself in good shape so it's easy on the eyes.

Barbara Walters Ruined Ricky Martin

Barbara Walters single handedly ruined Ricky Martin's career. Or at least that's what she thinks. She told the Toronto Star that her 2000 interview with him - the one where she asked if he was a great big homo and he refused to answer either way - was his downfall and her only regret. She says:

In 2000, I pushed Ricky Martin very hard to admit if he was gay or not, and the way he refused to do it made everyone decide that he was. A lot of people say that destroyed hiscareer, and when I think back on it now I feel it was an inappropriate question.

Now I think she's probably right that his refusing to answer made people believe that he's gay. That and the fact that he's gay. But, really, has any star ever refused to comment on their sexuality either way, then been caught with a person of the opposite sex? Ever? Even a non-celebrity? People just don't hide their heterosexuality. But, hey, if you're a straight celebrity and you're reading my site, try it out. Starting with any and all reality TV stars.

Ricky Martin Is Bi Now (Gay Later?)

Ricky Martin admitted to TVaqui magazine that his heart could belong to eiather a man or a woman. Or at least that's what it looks like it says. For all my foreign language abilities it could very well say that Ricky Martin eats either girl or boy babies. But I'm going to stick with the theory that he's just come out as bi.
