There's a rumor floating around that Elton John might take Simon Cowell's place as judge when he leaves American Idol. I think that would officially do it. They would have two queer icons on the panel. Maybe they can replace that useless girl with Ru Paul.

Former Idol producer (and asshole if you remember the So You Think You Can Dance comments I bitched about back when) says "he's absolutely it" and I think everyone on earth would agree. So let's hope rumors become reality and gays take over the world.

Ellen and Simon Aren't Playing Nice

Ellen DeGeneres,  who is looking incredibly hot in this picture - can you believe she's 52? is apparently having a rough time with American Idol co-judge, Simon Cowell. Radar reports that the two aren't speaking after Simon showed up late and they had to start the show without him.

“There’s two camps on the show this season,” said an Idol insider. “It’s a lot more tense than previous seasons. It seems as if Ellen has decided to try to take control since Simon is on his way out and that’s created problems.”

I haven't been a huge Idol fan, but I thought the combo of Simon and Ellen would make the show far more entertaining. But maybe they'll get really bitchy with each other and entertain me that way. I'd be all for it. So long as Ellen wins.
