Ireland Approves of Gay Marriage

Ireland held a referendum to vote on gay marriage.  They reported an insanely good turnout and the people of Ireland have spoken.  The vast majority voted in favour of the change and this melts my hearth.  If this change goes through as planned it will be the first country to change the law through popular vote.  Hell to the yeah.

Ger Brennan Makes History

Ger Brennan is a professional Irish soccer player and the captain of the St.Vincent team.  He thanks everyones families for their support, both girlfriends and boyfriends of the players.  He openly acknowledges and supports his fellow gay players and doesn't even flinch.  It should be a non issue and I'm so happy he had the courage to do it.

The very good looking Colin Farrell joined Ireland's Stand Up! Don’t Stand for Homophobic Bullying campaign. His own brother Eamon endured taunting and humiliation growing up gay and he doesn't want others to suffer like he did.

Each individual, as a member of his and her community, must Stand Up! In the face of this appalling brutality that plagues our schools. In effect, bullying is no less than the systematic doling out of pain upon the innocent. It is literally laughing in the face of somebody as they fall into increasingly grave danger.
