Another Trudeau Made Histody Today

 Today in history, then Justice Minister Pierre Trudeau made history in Canada in 1968 by pushing for a bill decriminalizing homosexuality.  This was huge and it makes me smile to think that his son Justin is currently our Prime Minister and continues his family's legacy of supporting the LGBT community.

The Tragically Hip's Last Concert

 Last night Canada said goodbye to it's biggest rock band.  You know you're a big deal when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau comes to your last show. The Tragically Hip shaped so many people's lives and if you don't live in Canada you probably don't get it.  Sitting around a campfire, playing hockey or being in a pub, the Hip would come on and everyone would sing along.  This is not queer news but it deserves recognition.  My heart broke a little when the concert was over and the realization set in that they would never play together again.
