Tilda Swinton's Opinion

Tilda Swinton filmed herself holding a pride flag in Russia and says:

Well, Russia has the gayest president ever. No, that’s an offensive thing to say—not to him, but to the gay community.

She also has an awesome opinion of how gay people are more mature:

It is true that to pass through the transitions that gay people have to in order to come out to themselves, to their families when they’re quite young, it’s a grow-bag, isn’t it? And I think that very often, heterosexual people miss out on that. West Hollywood City Hall Removes Pride Flag

City council in West Hollywood have decided to remove the Pride Flag from flying at city hall.  Slowly but surely West Hollywood is becoming less of a safe place for the LGBT community.  I think this is a huge step backwards and a very poor move on behalf of the city councillors.  It makes it even worse when you realize four out of the five councillors are gay.

Pink Called a Lesbian

Pink did a concert in Melbourne, Australia this past weekend and pissed some people off.  During her concert a fan gave her a pride flag and she danced on stage wearing it.  I love her response on Twitter to the ignorant haters.

Fun fact: when you twitter me and say 'you're a lesbian' it really doesn't bother me at all. It's a compliment. Most of my fav ppl are, so...I'm sure all of you hate filled humans can come up with something a little worse than that?!? Come on-be creative. You have 140 characters!
