Rae Spoon's New Music Video
I am so excited for Rae Spoon's new album Armour. I have loved everything they have done. Counting down until I get to see the new show! This is what Rae had to say about this song in her new music video:
Written Across The Sky” is about my own desire for legal recognition of my agender identity––right now, for example, I am still required to have my assigned sex on my identification. It is about my hunger for rights for trans people, especially those most vulnerable to systemic oppression, including sex workers, indigenous peoples and undocumented folks.

My Prairie Home - Official Trailer (Rae Spoon)
I have seen Rae Spoon play a few times and I am so happy this documentary is going to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Here's the write up:
In Chelsea McMullan's documentary-musical, My Prairie Home, indie singer Rae Spoon takes us on a playful, meditative and at times melancholic journey. Set against majestic images of the infinite expanses of the Canadian Prairies, Spoon sweetly croons us through their queer and musical coming of age. Interviews, performances and music sequences reveal Spoon's inspiring process of building a life of their own, as a trans person and as a musician.

Stand By Your Trans
I love Rae Spoon and this new song for the trans community is great. Recently in Canada, trans individuals have had their right to choose their name or pronoun taken away. This is a was written in response and to show support.
