Laverne Cox on Entertainment Weekly

Laverne Cox graces the cover of Entertainment Weekly and she looks fantastic.  The issue is in honour of Pride month and focuses on trans folks.  I also just learned that Laverne is going to be the first transgender wax figure at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.  There is nothing she can't do!!

Big Surprise....Lesbian Sex Sells


Natalie Portman was interviewed by Entertainment Weekly magazine and she discussed how they planned on getting men to see the ballet film, Black Swan: 
Everyone was so worried about who was going to see this movie. I remember being like, 'How do you get guys to a ballet movie? How do you get girls to a thriller? The answer is a lesbian scene. Everyone wants to see that.
Her answer is not surprising because all you have to do is look at previous films with lesbian content. Every straight man was drooling to see Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci in the movie Monster.  It is just another way to sell movies and I do not think it will be changing anytime soon.  That being said, I have a personal bias towards lesbians and hope they keep adding them whenever possible.  Don't act surprised, you were thinking the same thing.

Entertainment Weekly Covers Coming Out

Entertainment Weekly has made celebrities coming out their cover story. They look at the new casual way being used to reveal their sexuality for the first time publicly. It sounds pretty interesting and I'm happy that stars no longer have to go through what people like Ellen DeGeneres did. She was one of the many that opened the gateway for others to pass through.
