Kelly Clarkson covers Tracy Chapman's song Give Me One Reason and she nails it. She is by far one of my favourite LGBT allies.

People think, ‘Oh, she’s been single for too long.’ That’s kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn’t mean you’re gay. But I’m never insulted by it, obviously. I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh, my god, if I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it’s just not my thing. I’ve always batted for the boys’ team.
Poor Kelly Clarkson has been torn apart by the media because she is not the typical pop star. She put on weight after years of starving herself when she became popular and since then the gay rumours won't leave her alone. I honestly think if she were stick thin, no one would be calling her a lesbian and I think that is sad. Here's what Kelly had to say on the issue of not being gay....again.I’m such a vocal person, I’ve never hidden much. So I don’t understand why they don’t take me on my word. I find that a little bit annoying. But if people think I’m gay, I don’t really care.I don’t know why people think I am. I never kiss women. I find it funny. I'm kinda selfish person who right now enjoys being single, enjoys the fact that I can work as much as I do, and not really have to answer to anyone.
I would like to think I'm up on the latest rumours but apparently I missed this one. It has been swirling around that Kelly Clarkson is a lesbian. Poor thing puts on a couple pounds and makes some awesome pissed off songs and she's labelled a man hater. People can suck sometimes. On the flip side, if she is gay, lets welcome her with open arms...I just think it is very ignorant to assume that you know everything about someone … People keep saying that I'm gay and … yeah, I'm not. I'm pretty sure I've never made out with girl. Sometimes, I wish I were because at this point, I would probably get hit on by a lot of girls! It's just not helping me because I am straight. No boy wants to hit on my because I make mean songs about them and they think I'm gay.
