Remember on the L Word when Goldfrapp made a guest appearance and sang at the planet? If you don't remember, it was a couple years ago and at that time band member Alison Goldfrapp was dating a man. Her new partner is a woman and she's been thrust into a new category that she's not very comfortable with. Recently, she was part of a piece on lesbians that come out later in life and they included her name. From what I can tell she has a very fluid view of sexuality and hates to be placed in such a confined box. I think it's great she believes music is genderless but inspired by sex, men or women. Hell, I don't care who she does as long as she keeps pumping out awesome music!
